Adirondack Chairs – Traditional and Modern

The Adirondack chair is a symbol of American relaxation, calling to mind summer evenings spent enjoying the sunset with a view from a deck. Here at highwood®, our Classic Westport Adirondack is a simple design, but it’s also our most popular! Read Paul’s review and find out why so many have loved the Westport:

“We purchased four chairs and footstools about 4 years ago. They’ve been outside on an uncovered deck 24/7/365 ever since. We live on the coast of Northern CA, so they’re exposed to tons of sun, but also rain, fog, and salt spray. They’ve shifted a tiny bit in color, but it’s almost unnoticeable. Otherwise, they look like they were purchased last week. I’m very impressed with the durability. These replaced cedar Adirondacks, which didn’t hold up more than 5 years.

When it comes to daily use, I’ve found the chairs very comfortable and roomy. One set of chairs was missing some hardware when it arrived, but Highwood replaced it immediately. I’d buy these again without hesitation.”

“…These are so well made and thick--well worth the cost over cheaper options. I have a couple other modern Adirondacks. Compared to Highwood, the material on those is much thinner (one arm rest already shows some warping) and the build is much less solid. In addition, the cheap ones have visible hardware while the Highwood chairs keep hardware hidden…”

 

 

Folding and Reclining Adirondack Chairs

Before we close out our discussion on Adirondack Chairs, we also want to highlight our folding and reclining options. These chairs allow you to find the best position for sitting back and relaxing. Plus, even though it’s not required, they fold up for easy storage. Our most popular reclining Adirondack chair is the Hamilton, available in either a standard size or king size version.
