The chair has been load-tested, per ASTM 1561-03 (2008) standards for Outdoor plastic furniture, and has a 500-pound weight capacity.  Some assembly is required for the chair (don’t worry, there is an assembly guide) and assembled chair dimensions = 30"W x 40"H x 34"D (35lbs). Assembled ottoman = 20"W x 13"H x 19"D (10lbs).

Great chair. Very comfortable.
My most comfortable chair for the patio. It has a really solid feel, classic look and just supports my back nicely - I can sit for hours in this thing.

Adirondack chairs
We purchased these chairs to replace a set of wood Adirondack chairs that we owned for a couple years. If you’ve owned wood chairs, you know that there’s always repainting and repairing to be done. We were over it, so we searched for chairs that had a wood look but needed less maintenance. Since they’re plastic, they will not rot. Synthetic chairs are usually quite expensive, but these were a great deal. They are heavy so strong winds aren’t a problem and they clean up with a wet rag. They are partially assembled, too. The hardware is a good quality and the holes all lined up and they went together nice and tight.

Care & Maintenance

Highwood products are designed to provide years of comfort with very little maintenance. That’s the beauty of Highwood after all — the look of natural wood without the headache of annual painting or staining.

Our unique synthetic material, combined with 304 grade stainless hardware, means that you can leave our products outside year round, whatever the climate. For detailed information on how to clean or repair minor dings on our products, please take a look at our “Care & Maintenance” section.

Here however are just a few tips to keep your Highwood products looking like new:

  • At the start of each season, (or as needed) use hot soapy water and a brush to clean the surface from dirt & grime that build up on your products.
  • Give an extra scrub on edges of the product that have been machined/cut (front edges of arms on chairs).
  • For stubborn stains you can carefully use a power washer to remove grime, but be sure to use a medium/wide nozzle (fine/narrow nozzles can damage the product).
  • In day-to-day use wipe up any stains or spills on your Highwood products as it happens with a damp cloth.

Return Policy

Your Complete Satisfaction is our Goal.

Important note: The information below relates to purchases that you make directly from the Highwood USA eStore. Should you purchase a Highwood product from one of our authorized retailers, please contact their customer care team and they will handle your repair / return.

Non-Defective returns (“Buyer’s remorse”)

Highwood USA accepts non-defective product returns within 30 days of purchase (as listed on your receipt). In order to process a non-defective return, please email our Customer Care team at CSR@highwood-usa.com to get a Return Authorization # (RA#) and then follow these steps:

  • Attach a copy of your receipt (without the receipt we cannot process the return)
  • The item must be returned unused, not damaged and in “as new” / resalable condition
  • The product must be packaged and returned in its original packaging
  • Write the RA# clearly on the outside of the box that you are returning (Required)

When we receive your product it will be inspected and the refund will be issued once we confirm that the item meets the above requirements.

Highwood USA is not responsible for the cost of returning the product when the return is “Buyer’s remorse”. You can either make your own arrangements for the return of the package or Highwood can make arrangements for you and deduct that cost from the refund value.

Damaged or Defective items:

Highwood will, at its own discretion, repair or replace damaged or defective products at no expense to you, our customer. In the event that you need to make a return, please contact our Customer Care team by emailing us at CSR@highwood-usa.com and:

  • Attach a copy of your receipt
  • Let us know the serial number on your product (shown on a sticker located ON the product… usually under the seat/table etc.)
  • Attach a photo/photos to clearly show the damage


If we need you to send the whole product back to us, we will (a) provide you with a Return Authorization # (this RA# should then be written clearly on the outside of the box) and (b) make arrangements for return shipping at your convenience (which we will pay for). If we decide to remedy the problem by sending replacement parts, we will ship those directly to you to fix the issue.
