MATERIALS ENGINEER
The Materials Engineer will lead R&D efforts to create new products, blending the optimal materials to achieve the product performance required to meet customers’ needs and to expand our sales into new markets. The candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing development trials, lab and field testing of new formulations, and working closely with Marketing to ensure the product is aligned with customer requirements. The position requires working with suppliers on materials and processes, applying knowledge of material science to implement material changes to attain design objectives, and creating alternative formulations to deliver the most effective balance of cost and performance. Candidate will be responsible for all aspects of taking a new formulation from development to production.

Qualifications

A minimum of a BS in Materials or Chemical Engineering with Five (5) years of plastics formulation experience is required. Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office suite is required. Experience in plastics compounding and/or foam extrusion is a plus.

INDEPENDENT SALES REP
Furniture & accessories
The highwood^® brand of furniture and accessories provides innovative products and a growing portfolio. We are seeking independently contracted sales professionals who can help us develop market share in the furniture specialist/outdoor living/pool & spa retail channels.

Candidates should be:

• Self starters…passionate and hungry for the opportunity
• Interested in home and garden/design
• Personable & have excellent communication skills (Written & Verbal)
• Well presented in manner and professional in appearance
• Driven, ambitious and organized
• Capable of showing a clear understanding of selling skills
• Preferably with experience selling new products into an established retail channel
• Have an ability to cold call/introduce yourself and the product to target retailers
• Have an understanding of selling value and new product concepts
• Be a closer

Remuneration is commission based, with growth of accounts that you set-up delivering a steady stream of income. PROFILE TECHNICIAN (PT)
Full Time
Experience operating extrusion equipment a plus. High School Diploma or GED is required as well as ability to work well in teams. We offer a competitive rate and a progressive pay system that offers promotional opportunities for motivated employees. We also offer a great benefits package which includes medical, disability, and a company matching retirement plan. 2nd, 3rd Shifts Available - Monday through Friday.
